Improving the online order journey
We asked you how we could improve the online ordering journey for Ethernet on Business Zone. We took on your feedback and as a result made direct changes. This includes:
- ordering Etherway Co-ordinated Handover – once your order’ placed, you can also amend and cancel
- amending open Modify orders for Etherway Fibre, Copper and Etherflow
- amending open Cease orders for Etherway Fibre, copper and Etherflow
- an auto-save function added to our Ethernet provider order journey
- order validation message to help you understand what we’re validating and why
- more addresses per page when selecting a Site address.

Re-platforming the Ethernet Pricing Tool
Our existing pricing tool is moving onto a new platform to deliver greater performance, flexibility and enhanced features to improve the customer experience. Key benefits of the new platform include:
- aligning the visual look and feel to that of Business Zone
- quicker processing and compatibility with all browsers
- presenting a range of prices quickly, including the
- intuitive system that’s tailored around you
- reporting module and additional access options included
- inclusion of Openreach fibre route maps.
After more functionality tests, we'll be moving live with the new platform later on this year. Keep your eyes open for more information, including our online 'how to' videos.
Fibre Etherway connection and rental reductions
We have a range of discounted connection and rental charges available to you through our Ethernet Pricing Tool. The existing 100Mb Fibre Etherway connection special offer price reduction is now extended until 30 March 2018 and we’re also reducing the Etherway access service rental charges for 1Gb – effective on all new orders placed on or after 1 October 2017. Streamlining the wayleave process
The process of completing a wayleave can be very time-consuming, complex and involve many different stakeholders. But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. We’ve streamlined the process with our Managed Wayleave solution that dramatically reduces the process.
