You don’t always get what you want in life, but if you ask us to help you grow your business you’ll always get our attention. As we move together away from traditional phone networks (PSTN) towards IP voice products and services, it’s understandably had an effect on how we all operate. We have to work together, to listen and respond, which is exactly what we’re doing. As digital transformation continues, connectivity needs to keep pace, so here are a few examples of how we’re delivering what you asked for.

You asked for data flexibility and greater management control

We recently launched our new pay-as-you-go bandwidth on demand service for ethernet, giving you the flexibility to change bandwidth for your customers directly, as often as you like, for one annual fee. This will help you to easily upsell and offer additional bandwidth to your customers. Ultimately, this will strengthen your relationship with them and grow their lifetime value.

You asked for simple, flexible, easily manageable hosted solutions you can upsell

We’ve created a new entry-level hosted voice licence for customers who want a simple service. It can be set up in 10 minutes and offers easy upgrades via the portal, to give you quick upsell opportunities. We’ve also re-built our Office UC mobile app that gives users their desk phone features in their pocket. It’s faster, offers much better device battery life and video calling working across Android and iOS.

This expands our hosted portfolio, so you can address every need across the market and offer your customers a seamless journey to IP voice from legacy TDM PBX, to SIP Trunking, to full IP - getting rid of key customer churn points.

You asked for more options when it came to the data portfolio

We’ve grown our data portfolio to include both Gfast and fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) for faster speeds, availability and performance. We’ve also launched single order generic ethernet access (SOGEA), so you only have one customer contract for voice and data, saving you resource, making the delivery quicker and easier for your customers and giving you plenty of upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

These are just some examples of how we’re listening to you. And we’ll continue to connect our technology roadmap with what your customers need, helping you to respond faster to this ever-changing marketplace. Along with the rest of the new BT Wholesale management team, we’re completely committed to your businesses, as we only succeed when you succeed.
